Unlimited Patches, no daily cap
The daily puzzle is one board a day. This page is the opposite: pick a difficulty and play as many Patches boards as you want, one after another. Nothing to sign up for, and your streak on the daily board is never affected by practising here.
What the difficulties mean
Difficulty here is how much each clue tells you. A clue can name a size, a shape, or both, and the more it withholds the more rectangles stay possible:
- Easy boards state both facts on every clue, so each one names the exact size and the shape of its patch.
- Medium boards drop about half of that.
- Hard boards state as little as the board can bear and still be solvable, so most clues give you only one of the two.
Whichever you choose, the board is always solvable by logic alone. We check every one with a solver before it ships, so you never need to guess and there is never more than one answer.
