Unlimited mode hands you a fresh board whenever you want one, which is perfect for a quick session. This list is for people who would rather work through something with a beginning and an end. Each board has a name, the set runs from easy to hard, and the counter at the top keeps score of how far you have got.
Your progress is stored in your own browser, so there is nothing to sign up for. Clearing your browsing data resets it.
How the difficulty is set
What sets the difficulty is how many words the grid hides: four on easy boards, five on medium and six or seven on hard. More words means more short paths that spell something plausible, so there is more to rule out. A long word of six, seven or eight letters can turn up at any level. Every board is checked to have exactly one set of words.
